He Leadeth Me

The Lord is so good to take us where we are, to tenderly point out the areas in our life that need attention, to help us through His pruning process and with a loving hand stretch us, sometime beyond what we think we can go, forming us, refining us, growing us, correcting us, strengthening us, encouraging us, and ultimately transforming us into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ.  Life is an overwhelming journey. There are things to learn, people to meet, decisions to make, appointments to keep, places to be, thoughts to process, life to live... and hardly enough time to do it all (or so if feels)! But have you ever wondered which way to go?   A few months ago the Lord got my attention through a small comment in a little book I was glancing through. It said this: "So often we try to ask God for direction in life, when all He wants us to do is follow Him." (Karla Dornacher) That grabbed me in a very personal way as I had just been given a responsibility that ...

Surprises, Celebrations & Special Moments

Happy Birthday, Mama! We surprised Mama on Mother's Day with the formal breakfast and other sweet tokens of love and gratitude, so she honestly thought that that also made up for her birthday--which was a few days later... But we knew better! Anna is such a blessing to our family! Her quiet, confident, cheerful, strong spirit is an encouraging, inspiring asset to any who know her. It was our joy to express our appreciation for our big sister as she begin...

Many Hands Make Light Work

By Elisabeth There is nothing like getting together with family and friends and accomplishing a task! Not only does it leave everyone involved with a feeling of satisfaction, knowing they did their part, but it also builds relationships as each one learns to work together with the other members as a TEAM.  ~ T ogether   E ffectively   A ccomplishing   M uch ~ Teamwork involves more than one person ~ "Two are better than one; because they  have a good  reward for their labor." (Ecclesiastes 4:9)   Teamwork involves unity  ~ "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for  brethren  to dwell together in unity!" (Psalm 133:1)   Teamwork involves learning . Usually, not everyone on the team has the highest knowledge of the job being accomplished. Sometimes, no one knows exactly how to go about the designated task. When there is unity, there is much greater potential for learning how to oper...
