A Long-awaited Family Update!

Posted by Christina

Well, here we are in the middle of a very busy, yet blessed year full of God's faithfulness and grace!
Although it has been very busy with daily life, birthdays, vacations, anniversaries, schedules, graduations, and whatever else comes in the package, God has always proven Himself faithful time and time again. Great is our God and He ought to be greatly praised!

Our life has changed some since Elisabeth has gotten married, but it  hasn't changed in the fact that life still keeps us hopping! It has been fun though and the following pictures and explanations will allow you to get a glimpse into the main highlights we have had since the wedding and will lead you into some of this summers adventures! Hope you enjoy!

A Trip Out West!
In December we headed back out to California for our great-grandmother's funeral, but in this family it is nearly impossible to take a jot like that and not turn it into another Linzey family vacation!

At the Grand Canyon!

At a resort, right by the beach!

We were blessed to visit the USS MIDWAY!! It was amazing!

Summer Fun!

WORKING IN THE FLOWER BED

"...And let us not be weary in WELL DOING,
for in due season we shall reap if we faint not."

Of course, there's no summer without watermelon!

We had a great Memorial Day with a cookout, extended family, and Papa's stories and devotion in his sailor's uniform! We had a wonderful time!

Charity did a fantastic job of creating this USA banner!

"If my people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14

Happy 25th Wedding Anniversary, Papa and Mama!

While Papa and Mama were away for a week to celebrate their 25th, us children scurried around planning and preparing the last-minute details for a surprise party for them! Thank you to all the ones who decorated, cooked, and orchestrated this special occasion to make this happen! The food was delicious, the hostesses (our cousins) were marvelously hospitable, and the fellowship was very encouraging and inspiring!

          The two mothers

Grandpapa did a marvelous job of putting the flower arrangement together!

Anna and Charity did a great job on the cake!

The Cake Table!

Drumroll Please!!!!
(Anticipating the arrival of the "Newly Weds"!)

The cutting of the cake...

"I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine..." Song of Solomon 6:3

Both sets of parents were a surprise to Papa and Mama:)

...All Because Two People Fell in Love!

Thank you Papa and Mama for your godly example of what true love is! We owe so much to you both for such a wonderful and foundational heritage!
