Our Family Mission Statement

We are a real family seeking to serve a real and living God. Our desire and mission is to magnify and glorify God in our everyday life at home, church and abroad. Our goal is to help families understand what their purpose and design is in regards to the family; recognize the enemy for who he is and what he is doing; and to point families, both saved and unsaved, to Christ as to become living pictures of Christ and His bride and of God and His children. As families are strengthened the church will be strengthened, therefore, being a brighter light to a dark and hurting world.

It's Up!!!

By Elisabeth
Yup! Got some good news, folks... The long awaited swing set is finally set up and
bringing much cheer to our back yard!

That's how we spent the hottest week of the year... outside putting boards together.

But, when you're working under the hot rays of the sunshine, you can't help but throw in some good ole' laughter when Anna brings out the journal with funny family memories! ;-)

'Tis indeed, the simple joys of life!

Many hands make light work--that's for sure!

We were so thankful for each other when it came time to hoist the deck and screw it in.

Nothing like strong arms to catch a little girl's leap. We love big brother!

"What do you think, Mandy? Is it done yet?"

After, waiting, sweating, figuring, working, and anticipating...

...Here is the new swing set--big family style!

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
for brethren to dwell together in unity!"

Those Treasured Times

By Elisabeth
Make new friends, and keep the old;
One is silver and the other gold.

The Lord gave me a wonderful opportunity to visit a good friend, Hannah, and her family during a couple weeks this summer. It was a wonderful time of sharing what God is doing and encouraging each other in our walk with Christ. Here are a few pictures of our visit!

One highlight was going down to the dock and eating the best ice-cream in town! We also had the enjoyment of touring the quaint shops in the area--which included a good laugh over trying out some of the goofy masks. :)

We had a fun picnic with several little children while the mothers enjoyed a birthday tea.

Taking a couple little extra friends along to the park at the beach was an adventure as we had
to find several things listed for the scavenger hunt. Below, we looked for a few rolly-polies.

The dock was a favorite place to go, and we visited there several times.

One afternoon, we drove to the beach and met up with Laura and the cousins she was staying with.
We had a lot of fun cramming into one of the drift-wood huts.

I wasn't too sure about trying clam chowder, until...
Hannah took me to a quaint little restaurant in town called
Seabolt's Smokehouse
Their clam chowder has been said to beat the chowder of Maine! It was SO GOOD!!!

It was also a joy to interact with Hannah's sisters, as well as meet another friend of her's.

But only true friends leave footprints on your heart."
