Surprises, Celebrations & Special Moments

Happy Birthday, Mama!
We surprised Mama on Mother's Day with the formal breakfast and other sweet tokens of love and gratitude, so she honestly thought that that also made up for her birthday--which was a few days later... But we knew better! Papa took her out to dinner on her special day, so in order to catch her off-guard we saved our next big surprise for the following day when we then gave her a party-full of new items for her kitchen. But we weren't done yet... Since the three May birthdays are just days apart, we usually have one big party all combined. Our final surprise was a whole new set of pots and pans to replace Mama's old ones which were beginning to reveal their "wear-&-tear". She was SO happy!! :)

Happy Birthday, Anna!
Anna is such a blessing to our family! Her quiet, confident, cheerful, strong spirit is an encouraging, inspiring asset to any who know her. It was our joy to express our appreciation for our big sister as she begins a new year in this journey of life.

Looking back on the memories of past days portrayed in an album Elisabeth put together for her.

Mama cross-stitched this handiwork for Anna's keepsake.

Happy Birthday, Caleb!
Caleb is growing into such a gentleman. He thoroughly enjoys working outdoors with the other menfolk of the family, yet he also relishes the finer aspects in life, such as quality-shopping, formal dining, and elegant events.

Anna and Elisabeth had the pleasure of taking him to a nice teahouse for lunch on his birthday. It was a special time of bonding as siblings...and he sure did look sharp in his new suit and bow-tie!

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:  To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night."
Psalm 92:1-2

  1. Enjoyed seeing all of the birthday blessings, as Grandaddy Bossie would say "A grand time was had by all!"
