Land of our Father
By Anna and Elisabeth
Okay, you say it's common...but let me tell you, it's one of the stops we are most acquainted with-- besides the gas station!~ Father's Day ~
We had the joy of spending Father's day in the town where our father spent the golden years childhood.
It was such a blessing to stay in the home of Papa's Aunt & Uncle.
They were such a joy and welcomed us warmly.
Papa showed us the pumpkin carriage that he played on when he was a little boy.
It is now part of decoration on a mini golf course!
One of our highlights was taking a hike along the rim of the mountain.
We saw a few signs along the way stating the presence of mountain lions,
however we were spared actually meeting any.
After the hike, those who still had energy invested it on the playground.
The greatest treasures in life
Are the simple joys!
Sweet Sisters!
Papa and some of the children played a little game with the map and a pen--
Who can point the pen in the correct direction?
Miscellaneous moments of memory making.
Amanda is smile'n and ready to go!
Back in the car...or van. We're ready to hit the road again!
Typical New Mexico. You forget you're still in North America when traveling through these mountains. The terrain and respective abodes are quite unique!
"Remove not the ancient landmark,
which thy fathers have set."
~ Proverbs 22:28 ~
Looks like Y'all had a lot of fun!! Keep the pictures coming :) Miss y'all
