Those Treasured Times

By Elisabeth
Make new friends, and keep the old;
One is silver and the other gold.

The Lord gave me a wonderful opportunity to visit a good friend, Hannah, and her family during a couple weeks this summer. It was a wonderful time of sharing what God is doing and encouraging each other in our walk with Christ. Here are a few pictures of our visit!

One highlight was going down to the dock and eating the best ice-cream in town! We also had the enjoyment of touring the quaint shops in the area--which included a good laugh over trying out some of the goofy masks. :)

We had a fun picnic with several little children while the mothers enjoyed a birthday tea.

Taking a couple little extra friends along to the park at the beach was an adventure as we had
to find several things listed for the scavenger hunt. Below, we looked for a few rolly-polies.

The dock was a favorite place to go, and we visited there several times.

One afternoon, we drove to the beach and met up with Laura and the cousins she was staying with.
We had a lot of fun cramming into one of the drift-wood huts.

I wasn't too sure about trying clam chowder, until...
Hannah took me to a quaint little restaurant in town called
Seabolt's Smokehouse
Their clam chowder has been said to beat the chowder of Maine! It was SO GOOD!!!

It was also a joy to interact with Hannah's sisters, as well as meet another friend of her's.

But only true friends leave footprints on your heart."
