Seasons!

What comes with seasons? We all have gone through, are going through, and will be going through seasons of life. Seasons of beauty, comfort, delight, and rest (Spring). Seasons of hardship, heat, dryness, and trials (Summer). Seasons of death to visions and passions; gathering the fruit of what has been sown previously, yet at the same time, wondering anxiously about what will be sown in the future (Autumn). As well as seasons of coldness, fogginess, unclarity, and just emptiness (Winter).
As autumn has come, I have been reminded of the representation that this process gives. One way to look at this time is in one simple word "change". Change from one stage of life to another. I don't know about you, but I am a person that so easily gets hooked on the process of change, while neglecting where and what it leads to. But while I am sitting and concentrating on the eye-to-eye point of view with all the overwhelming and "bigger than us" things; God is above, looking down onto the "smaller than Him" things of life that so easily scare and bring insecurity to us. He is such a tender and loving Father who knows us better than we know ourselves. Change is a demand to that which makes up life. If it weren't for change in the weather, where would the flowers of the field be? Where would the grass for the cattle on a thousand hills be? Where would the strong and majestic Red Wood trees be? And in such of a like manner, if it weren't for change in our walks with Christ...where would we be? May we never forget that it is only in the seasons of life that we are weakened and soon destroyed if we aren't founded in the Rock, or that we are strengthened and grow to newer heights as long as we are firmly rooted in Christ who is our Rock.

Beautifully written Christina. I look forward to new blog posts, am so excited to read them. So thankful in a world of uncertainty our God is steadfast and never leaves us alone!
