Horses, Moter Bikes, and just Plane fun!

By Anna & Elisabeth
Farther on down the road, we were blessed to stay with some cousins for a few days. Our time was filled with many great activities and adventures, as well as fun-filled interaction!

Here, a few of the brave early-risers tried their hand at milking goats. I hear they got pretty good at it!

The fellows really enjoyed the dirt-bikes. They came in with a few exciting stories! Thankfully, no one was permanently damaged.

But the horses were the grand highlight for the girls!

Hmmmm... I think they each have a mind of their own! (left)

Inside, the smaller children played and a couple older ones sorted cherries and...

...updated the first posts about the early part of the trip. :)

Josiah and his stallion ~ what a knight! Looks like he's having a splendid time! :)

Princess Carolyn with the "goat of the palace"                                     Mama

Caleb--doing what he does best (at least one of his many talents), playing in the water! We found out on this trip, he'll be great if you give him a surf board!

Papa and Josiah were fixing the van (the only problem we had on the whole trip) when Elisabeth rode by with the explanation to the going rumor... Yes, she had fallen off the horse--or rather dove off--and no, she would not recommend that sort of adventure! Her bit of advice for the day, (given with many aches and pains) was: "When a horse is cantering at a very swift speed downhill, DO NOT lean forward." I think you get the idea... She did remount and rode through the woods again, this time ending in a fantastic race over the sloping meadow to the barn in which she and her horse sailed beautifully!

Next to dirt-bikes, the four wheeler was a great source of adventure, as well! Mama, also, took the saddle for a while--looks like a natural!

On the final day, the pilot of the area :) took several of us folks out on a few flights over the city and islands.

It was a lot of fun and certainly beautiful!!!

~ Birthday Party ~
Christina celebrated her 15th birthday! She is becoming quite a young lady and
blesses our family with her many lovely talents and her gracious, sparkling personality.

We had such a fantastic time with this wonderful family!

"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord,
and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning,
and thy faithfulness every night,"
